Spring Fling 2010
It is not too early to be thinking about the 4th annual Spring Fling. The event takes place on April 24, 2010 at Colton Hall in Claridge, PA. As you know, the Spring Fling is our big fundraiser for the Richard A. Schaeffer Memorial Fund. The money that we make feeds the fund and enables us to give out awards in Rick's name. We recently gave out four awards in February 2009; one recipient was given an award to attend the
Gordon Research Conference on Gaseous Ions, and the other three recipients were given awards to attend
ASMS.
Education was certainly near and dear to Rick's heart, and what better way to honor him than by helping others continue their education. With that in mind, preparation for the next Spring Fling is ongoing and we will need all of the help and support that we can get.
